Iguacu Falls
Iguacu, Brazil, November 2000

I woke early to photograph Iguacu Falls at sunrise and caught the first bus to gate of the park.  "Sorry, the park doesn't open until 8am," the guard informed me when I arrived at 6am.  For two hours, I sat and waited.  It was well after sunrise when I finally entered the park, but the falls still looked magnificent.  The river emerged from a thick jungle, plunged over a high ravine and exploded on the rocks below the falls, creating a thunderous storm of mist and turbulence.
