In April and May 2005, I spent five weeks in Peru, trekking the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu, wandering the narrow cobblestone streets of Cusco, exploring the lush Sacred Valley, driving the Pan-American highway to Ica and Huacachina, flying over the mysterious Nasca lines, and high altitude trekking in the Cordillera Blanca mountains.
